President - Captain Mike Jennings

Cowboy Charters- Freeport, Texas                                                  
Mike Jennings is a USCG licensed Captain with over 25 years of experience fishing the Texas Gulf coast. He is known locally for his willingness to run further and target the larger species that lurk in our Gulf waters. He is a native of Brazoria County and grew up fishing the inshore and offshore waters from Galveston to Matagorda. Along with fishing, Captain Mike is an experienced dog trainer and waterfowl guide, hunting the prairies and marshes from Anahuac to Rockport.

Captain Mike is also an accomplished Writer and Magazine Columnist, formerly on staff with Texas Saltwater Fishing Magazine.

As one of the youngest members of the Charter Fisherman's Association and charter captains in Galveston, Texas he is proud to provide a voice in fishery management for charter customers and the recreational fishermen of America aboard their boats. 

Shane has a degree in Marine Fisheries from Texas A&M at Galveston, experience as a NOAA Fishery observer, and involvement with the BP Deepwater Horizon Incident. This unique background gives him a great perspective on fishery issues and fishery management from many different perspectives.

Susan Boggs
Reel Surprise Charters - Orange Beach, AL

Raised in north central Texas, Susan Boggs moved to lower Alabama in 1998.  Susan began working as a charter agent at a local marina in Orange Beach, AL where she met her husband of 10 years.  She and her husband, Randy, own two headboats, Reel Surprise and Gulf Winds II, two charter boats Sea Reaper and Wishbone, as well as own and operate the charter office and the dock store at SanRoc Cay Mar
.

rations of B&D Maritime, Inc. while also raising hers and Randy’s 7 year-old daughter who is too an avid fisherman and hunter.

Treasurer - Michael Miglini

Corpus Christi, Texas
Captain Michael Miglini owns Out to Sea Adventures in Port Aransas Texas and runs spearfishing, scuba diving and offshore fishing trips in the Gulf of Mexico.  In addition to running regular offshore fishing trips Capt. Miglini has taken over 2,000 recreational fishermen and women on their first diving and spearfishing trip in the Gulf of Mexico.  His specialty is providing safe, fun and friendly fishing opportunities to new anglers and divers of all ages and experience levels. 


Michael also assists local universities in conducting research on artificial reefs, red snapper, and physical oceanography.  Graduate of St. Edward’s University with business degree in finance.  Michael is the past secretary and president of the Port Aransas Boatmen, Inc., graduate of Leadership Corpus Christi, completed the Marine Resource Education Program in Massachusetts and has served on numerous fishery advisory panels.

Steve Tomeny

Port Fourchon, Louisiana

A freshwater and saltwater fisherman in Louisiana and Mississippi since childhood, and an avid scuba diver since his days at LSU, Steve has more than 35 years of experience in Gulf of Mexico fisheries. He started out building and operating a six passenger dive charter boat out of Port Fourchon, LA. Subsequently, Steve bought a 65-foot bare hull, towed it from Montgomery, Al to Baton Rouge, and within a year, launched the f/v Southerner. A few years later, he added the f/v Louisiana, f/v Gulf of Mexico, and the f/v Caribbean Sea, all 65-footers built on the same style hull for mixing charter and commercial fishing. Steve is on the board of the Charter Fisherman’s Association, which consists of charter operators and captains working to advance new ideas in the charter-for-hire industry. A separate fisheries management plan for the   charter-for-hire fleet is one of CFA’s more immediate goals.

Captain Tom Ard
Orange Beach, Alabama

Captain Tom Ard, has been charter fishing in Orange Beach, Alabama his entire life. He's also an avid hunter and fisherman believing in conservation and a true love for the outdoors. A second generation Captain, Tom started working on his Dad's charter boat, the 38 foot Bollweevil back in the 1980's. In 1999 Tom bought a 42 foot multi passenger boat, the Fairwater II, and fished beside his dad up until health problems forced his Dad - Captain Gloyice Ard to retire. Tom now operates both the Bollweevil and Fairwater and has just added a 34 foot Crusader, the Water Dog, to the fleet.  Additionally, Tom is the past president and current board member of the Alabama Charter Fishermans Association; Captain Tom also stays very involved in the development of fishery management for the Charter Sector for the
 
future.

Captain Scott Hickman
Circle H Outfitters -  Galveston, Texas
Owner/Operator Circle H Outfitters and Charters Full time hunting and fishing guide out of Galveston, Texas 29 years specializing in Cobia, Snapper, Amberjack and King Mackerel trips. Scott is married to wife Shannon and has two daughters Allison and Lauren. He is actively involved on Gulf Fisheries Management Council Migratory Pelagic Advisory Panel and Reef fish Advisory Panel with finding solutions for a better charter business plan in the Gulf a top priority. Capt Scott also holds the Recreational seat on the Flower Gardens Banks National Marine Sanctuary Council. He attended both Texas Tech University and Sam Houston State University studying Wildlife Management and Criminal Justice.  Capt. Hickman also served in the United States Marine Corps and Texas National Guard.
